Any tips for removing the shells?

Use a coin to gently pry open the shells along the pre-designed gap on the edge.

The snug fit is intentional and based on safety considerations. If cats could open the shells easily during play, it could create a safety risk. We included a small gap so adults can remove the shell safely by hand or with a coin when needed, while keeping the housing securely closed during play.
